UniServ Director Cheryl McLeod was sworn in to serve as Commissioner for the Maryland Commission on African American History & Culture. The Commission helps cultivate, present, interpret and promote the history and culture of African Americans in the State of Maryland through museum collections, exhibitions, commemorations, educational programs, publications, research and public participation. The Commission also provides technical assistance to institutions and groups with similar objectives. The swearing in ceremony was held at the Howard County Circuit Court on Tuesday, June 2, 2015.
